In the language and teaching areas, Ivana Viappiani taught Italian as a foreign language in New York at the high school level and Italian for business purposes to adults in private companies. In Istanbul, she has taught at IMI, Italian High School, Yeditepe University, Istanbul Ticaret University and at the Italian Cultural Center.
At Boğaziçi University since 2007 as a Faculty Member, she has taught Italian at different levels and she is currently working at the School of Foreign Languages, Modern Language Unit.

Research Interests:

Foreign language teaching methodologies, how to structure and design class material, the use of new technologies in designing a class unit, e-learning.
