LANGUAGE CERTIFICATES
Boğaziçi University School of Foreign Languages offers students Language Certificates in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. These certificate programs are open to all undergraduate students.

Certificate Requirements
- Students must complete 21 credits (7 courses) in the same language, chosen from the course catalog.
- At least one course must be at the 400 level.
- The GPA of these 21 credits must be at least 2.50.
- Students must submit the Certificate Program Completion Notice Form to receive a certificate.
Certificate Program Completion Notice Form
Students who are approaching graduation must notify the program coordinator using the Certificate Program Completion Notice Form. They must also submit a highlighted transcript showing the completed certificate courses before graduation.
Submission of the Documents
Submissions to receive a language certificate start on the first business day following the course withdrawal period and end on the last day of classes.
Students must submit their documents (Certificate Program Completion Notice Form and a Highlighted Transcript) to the Modern Languages Unit Secretariat (John Freely Building).
Important Note: Not all courses are offered every semester. It is the student’s responsibility to keep track of the course offerings.
