Christina Tegou holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since February 2024, she has been teaching Modern Greek at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul. She has been teaching Greek as a foreign language since 2010 and has extensive experience in curriculum design, assessment, materials development, teacher mentoring, and program coordination. Her research interests include second language acquisition, the teaching of Greek as a second language (L2), vocabulary acquisition and retention, supportive feedback, and the integration of authentic materials into language teaching.
