Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae

Yanina Shved Dogrul is a philologist, Lecturer at Boğaziçi University, and a Ph.D. candidate in the International Relations programme at Istanbul Nişantaşı University. Born in Ukraine to a family of Ukrainian and Polish heritage, she holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Philology from Khmelnytskyi National University, with a focus on language education. She also earned a Master’s degree in Polish Studies from Istanbul University. Her second thesis, Istanbul Reflected on the Poles in the 18th–21st Centuries, examines Turkish, Polish, and Ukrainian historical figures. Alongside her academic career, she has organised exhibitions of her drawings in Ukraine and is actively involved in artistic and volunteer activities. She has published academic articles and book chapters and is the author of a book of poems titled Dogrul Album. She has taught Ukrainian and Russian at Istanbul University and Russian at the Turkish National Defence University.
